VW Golf wins 2013 European Car of the Year

Volkswagen's Golf is the 2013 Car of the Year. Announced at a ceremony on the eve of the Geneva motor show, the seventh-generation Golf scored the most points from the 58 voting jury members, from 22 European countries. Twin-turbo Ferrari 458 Italia takes on the Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador: Video

Exotic-car tuner Underground Racing from North Carolina prepared a Ferrari 458 Italia with a “bolt-on” twin-turbo system, boosting engine output to 700 hp. For comparison, the tuner matched the blown Ferrari against a Lamborghini LP-700-4 Aventador and its naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12, rated at 700 hp. “We were interested to see how they stacked up against each other after seeing a twin-turbo Gallardo almost get beat by an Aventador,” Underground Racing president Kevin Howeth said.

Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg featured at the Dayton concours

Auburn, Cord and Duesenberg will be honored at the sixth-annual Dayton Concours d'Elegance at Carillon Park on Sept. 16. The show, put on by AAA Miami Valley, will also have special classes for Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Micro Cars and Race Cars of Miami Valley.
