When Breaking Bad met Top Gear: Aaron Paul and The Stig join forces

Fri, 28 Feb 2014

We’re pretty sure the last thing we’d want to do is let Jesse Pinkman loose on a racing circuit – but since we are in fact capable of separating reality from even a hugely popular TV programme, these pictures of Aaron Paul taking on Top Gear’s Reasonably Priced car aren’t about to make us go cold turkey. Please click the image above to read more about Aaron Paul's visit to the Top Gear test track

Ferrari 458 Speciale (2013) is it the ultimate V8 supercar?

Mon, 04 Nov 2013

Is the new 597bhp Ferrari 458 Speciale set to be the ultimate V8 supercar? Ben Pulman headed to Ferrari's Maranello headquarters to see for himself... Ferrari's Formula One team might be struggling to put Alonso on the podium, but its road-car division keeps hitting new highs: the F12 is a masterpiece, its 950bhp LaFerrari is poised to eclipse the legendary Enzo, and now this new hardcore version of the 458 Italia will cause sleepless nights down the road in Sant’Agata where Lamborghini is readying its Gallardo replacement.

Victor Muller sells Spyker sports cars to CPP

Thu, 24 Feb 2011

Supercar maker Spyker is to be sold. Coventry-based coachbuilder CPP has announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to buy Spyker Cars from Spyker Cars N.V, the holding company which owns Spyker and Saab. No. Saab remains under the ownership of Dutch company Spyker Cars N.V. This sale is of Spyker, the manufacturer of flamboyantly detailed mid-engined supercars. CPP has been supplying chassis and body panels for Spyker since the brand was relaunched in 2000, and completed an agreement to handle full manufacturing of the current range in 2009 – the production of Spyker cars moved from the Netherlands to Coventry in 2010.   The MOU, valued at €32m, will mean that CPP Global Holdings Ltd will become manufacturer and owner of Spyker – €15m will be paid straight away, with the remaining €17m paid over a six year 'earn-out' period.
