Only the handsets that were purchased from the dealership can fully integrate with the car, since their firmware is different from  their off the shelve counterparts. Those phones, especially the V60, are sold for several hundred dollars, even on E-Bay.

If you purchased a pre-owned Mercedes Benz automobile with an original Mercedes Benz phone, it is most likely not E-911 compliant (an FCC regulation), so the cell phone companies will be reluctant to activate it.

Other CDMA Phones work such Sprint CDMA phones.

The first BMW i8s delivered in Germany The new BMW i8 hybrid supercar was finally revealed in production guise at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, and by the time it went in to production the whole of the 2014 run of i8s was sold out. Apart from its innovative plug-in hybrid powertrain, the i8 offers many new technologies, one of which is a set of laser lights which deliver a much brighter main beam than LED and looked set to be the first time such lights have appeared on a production car. But Audi tried to upset BMW’s applecart by revealing the R8 LMX last month, which also came with laser lights, and looked set to arrive with customers before the i8.

Cash-for-clunkers clears 180,000 in sales, is poised for an extension

The cash-for-clunkers program has reached sales of more than 180,000--topped by the Toyota Corolla--as the Senate is poised to vote on an extension of the program on as soon as Thursday. The Ford Focus is the second-best-selling car under the program, and the Honda Civic, the Toyota Prius and the Camry complete the top five, according to Reuters. The top trade-ins were all domestics, including trucks from Ford and Dodge, as well as Jeep.
