This radio was removed from a 1973 Oldsmobile Cutlass, by me approx 25 years ago to install the indash AM-FM-8 track. Ya, an 8 track. Remember those things? This factory AM radio was working perfectly at the time, but I can not guarantee it now. All buttons work fine and dial moves smooth. It has been stored in a heated garage, inside a cardbaord box for years. Doing a little spring cleaning and this radio must go.

Hydrogen powered Black Cab hits London streets
Wed, 09 Jun 2010The first LTI TX4 hydrogen-powered London Taxi A hybrid fuel cell electric London cab has been revealed, but unlike recent developments with the traditional Black cab – where Mercedes are busy taking over - this experimental hydrogen-powered Cab is based on the familiar LTI TX4. The joy of using a hydrogen tank to run the batteries is that unlike a plug-in hybrid a refuel will take all of five minutes – no more than filling up with petrol or diesel would, A full tank will give a range of around 250 miles and – just like a plug-in BEV – the hydrogen powered cab is emission free at the point of use. The plan is to raise funding to produce a fleet of hydrogen powered Black Cabs in time for the London Olympics in 212.

Jaguar XFR-S arrives ahead of LA debut
Wed, 28 Nov 2012The Jaguar XFR-S – Jaguar’s most powerful saloon car to date – has leaked out ahead of its debut tonight at the Los Angeles Auto Show. We’re hoping that Jaguar has managed to bestow extra power on the very appealing XFR without wrecking the stuff that makes Jaguar saloons so appealing – the dynamic/ride balance – which, if they have, will make the XFR-S a more appealing bonkers sports saloon than the German offerings. The promise is all there with a new butch front end, a more aggressive body kit, chunks of carbon fibre, a huge rear wing for extra downforce, a new diffuser at the back, stiffer springs, a new rear subframe with stiffer bushes, a tweaked active diff and a tweak of the stability control for more fun.
