NHTSA intensifies investigation into BMW 7-series rollaways

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is widening an investigation into the rollaway crashes of the BMW 7-series that the agency opened in August. NHTSA received reports of 16 crashes involving the vehicle, covering model years 2002 to 2008, with five reports of injuries. NHTSA has a total of 50 complaints of rollaways.

2009 Interior Motives Design Awards

Registration for the seventh annual Interior Motives Design Awards - themed ‘Sustainable and Clever' - is now open. Hosted by our quarterly interior design publication Interior Motives, the competition challenges design students around the world to come up with innovative designs that offer clever solutions to the problems facing 21st century vehicle design. Subaru XV

Subaru has revealed the new XV at the 2011 Frankfurt motor show, taking the company into the compact crossover segment for the first time. Like its concept precursor, the XV features a hexagonal grille and 'hawk eye' headlamps, designed to emphasize the vehicle's brand identity. Alloy wheels and cut-away cladding also aim to give the car a distinctive feel.
