OEM Onan RV/Mobile KV Series Generator Rotor 201-3606-03

We only have one rotor available. Onan no longer manufactures them.

Generator rotors are the heart of electrical generating systems and typical areas of wear are in the slip rings (electrical contacts), copper windings, and shaft bearing. Exterior symptoms in these Onan generators such as overheating or excess noise may indicate loose brush holders, excess varnish/debris, or a worn end shaft bearing. Since the generator rotor is in an enclosed application as with RV/mobile generators, it is difficult to measure and detect potential service limits or immediate issues. Once removed from the generator, bench tests can detect rotor failure issues such as grounding and open or shorted windings with an ohmmeter. Generator rotors often fail with little warning, so why settle for an expensive rebuild or an aftermarket copy of unknown quality when you can have the new ONAN generator rotor designed for your model on hand and ready for you or your RV dealer to install? This was received directly from our OEM supplier and is authentic.

Fitment suggestions: KV Series Micro Lite and Micro Quiet 2.5 and 2.8 generators. While we attempt to provide accurate fitment suggestions and part number cross references, this information has no expressed or implied warranties, and you are encouraged to research and determine which part # is correct for your exact machine. We will not be liable for incorrect or inaccurate fitment information. No returns accepted.

This rotor includes the original premium quality NSK 6205DUD7 bearing pressed onto the shaft with the correct factory spec spacing as shown. If doing a brush replacement, magneto service, or stator cleaning on your Onan KV Series Micro Lite or Micro Quiet 2.5/2.8 generator, replace the rotor while this area is disassembled for extra assurance of reliable electrical generation on your RV or other mobile application. Replace the rotor if any of these bench test measurements are true: Ground test: Less than 1 megaohm; Slip ring continuity: no continuity (a high resistance reading with continuity while doing this test may indicate a poor connection or open winding which also warrants rotor replacement); Shorted windings: less than 16 ohms across the slip rings at 77F/22C. Another service measurement on the rotor is the rotor bearing spacing from the collector ring assembly. If the bearing is 0.14 inches (3.5 mm) or closer to the collector ring assembly, arcing may occur.
