They introduced the Qashqai+2 option to give seven seat capability to the Qashqai, and now they are beefing up option levels on the top of the range Tekna version, and introducing a new model – The Nissan Qashqai n-tec. The Qashqai n-tec slots in between the Tekna and the Acenta and brings a well-equipped extra version to the good handling compact SUV.
'Ambulance chasers' face new controls
Mon, 09 Jun 2014THE CULTURE of "ambulance-chasing" lawyers and bogus whiplash claims could come to an end following new measures set out by the Government to crack down on insurance fraud. Lawyers will be banned from offering accident victims incentives such as money or free iPad computers to encourage them to make a claim and courts will be given powers to throw out compensation actions where claimants have been dishonest. The reforms by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) aim to tackle the rise of the compensation culture and reduce the amount being paid out unnecessarily by insurance companies - which can lead to higher premiums for honest customers.
Fiat will buy the rest of Chrysler for $4.35 billion
Thu, 02 Jan 2014Fiat has announced that it will purchase the rest of Chrysler in a deal totaling $4.35 billion. Currently, the outstanding 41.6 percent stake in the company is owned by the UAW's voluntary employee beneficiary association, or VEBA, trust. Under the terms of the deal, Fiat won't shell out all $4.35 billion.
