McLaren F1: It was 20 years ago today…

The McLaren F1 20th Anniversary photo - 21 McLarens together   Well, not quite 20 years ago today that Ron Dennis got his band to play, but it is 20 years this year since McLaren first brought together the team that was to create the mighty McLaren F1, which is cause for celebration. U.S. sales of quirky 5-series GT disappoint BMW

BMW's 5-series Gran Turismo was meant to be a stylish alternative to minivans and crossovers when it debuted in November 2009. But sales of the tall, quirky five-door have been disappointing. Now, BMW of North America CEO Jim O'Donnell says he wishes the company hadn't stopped selling the 5-series wagon in the United States last year.

Infiniti M35h GT announced

Infiniti has revealed a new, cheaper, version of the hybrid M35h – the Infiniti M35h GT – which starts at £41,101. We love the idea of modern hybrid technology providing a useful power boost for more performance and better economy, but we don’t like the premium most car makers charge for their hybrid technology. But Infiniti is different, and their hybrid M – the world’s fastest hybrid production car – comes at a very small premium over the equivalent diesel offering, and now it has an even cheaper entry point.
