This auction is for a vintage Rotunda 8,000 RPM tachometer. This tachometer was made by Rotunda/Faria instruments. The 8,000 RPM Rotunda tach is well known for being installed on early to mid 60's high performance Ford vehicles including the 64 Thunderbolt and early Shelby Cobras. The Rotunda tach was sold over the dealer parts counter and dealer installed on many late 60's high performance cars. This is a very rare tachometer that will really stand out at car shows and cruise nights. This will definitely separate you car from the rest of the pack!

This tach is in very good condition as shown. The face is very nice with a bright vibrant dial as shown.. The lens curved glass lens is very nice with no scratching or damage and is crystal clear. The original lamp on the top of the face still works! The front bezel shines well with no pitting and one small split on the top as shown. The original mounting cup and mounting brackey are in very good condition as shown. The chrome shines well with light isolated pitting. This is simply a very nice original Rotunda 8,000 RPM tach.

This is a real deal 8 cylinder Rotunda tach and is dated May, 1963 as shown. THIS IS THE REAL DEAL! This is a true vintage speed part that would look great in you car or collection.

This tach has been tested and works great. There is a video of this tach being tested at the bottom of this description. Click on the picture and the video will play.

This is your chance to own a very hard original 8,000 RPM Rotunda tach for your special car or collection! Don't Miss Out!

I am happy to combine shipping on multiple items whenever possible.

Audi SQ5 costs £43,870 in UK

Wed, 28 Nov 2012

The diesel Audi ‘RS’ Q5 – the Audi SQ5 – with 309bhp and 0-62mph in 5.1 seconds, will cost £43,870 when it arrives in the UK in spring 2013. That means Audi’s 3.0 litre V6 BiTurbo TDI with a healthy 309bhp and 479lb/ft of torque, enough to deliver the SQ5 to 62mph in 5.1 seconds, on to a top speed of 155mph and deliver an official economy figure (although you’ll never get it) of over 40mpg. The power goes through an eight-speed tiptronic ‘box to all four wheels and you get a sound actuator in the exhaust to give you a non-diesely roar. Audi has also dropped the suspension on the SQ5 by 30mm compared to the regular Q5 S Line for a more sporty manner, and if you opt for Audi’s Drive Select Adaptive Dynamics you’ll also get  Comfort, Auto, Dynamic and Efficiency modes (and an Individual mode too if you opt for HDD SatNav as well) which alter the steering, transmission, throttle and even the exhaust actuator to suit.

Mercedes-Benz SLS prepped to go GT3 racing

Tue, 23 Mar 2010

Mercedes-Benz AMG pulled the wraps off its new race car on Monday in Oaxaca, Mexico, scene of a commemoration of Mercedes' victory in the 1952 Carrera Panamericana. The new SLS GT3 is a modified Mercedes-Benz SLS intended to meet FIA homologation requirements for the GT3 class in series throughout the world. While it's not known what the production car will look like when it starts going to customers either this fall--according to the press release--or "before the start of the 2011 racing season," according to AMG's Thomas Rappel, the prototype shown in Oaxaca had a full roll cage, a new front skirt with splitter, rear diffusers and an enormous rear wing.
