The Mercedes ConceptFascination - Could make it in to production as an E-Class Coupe Estate
Car makers are searching for every niche they can fill with their cars, particularly at the premium end. Audi and Mercedes are big players (we still think the Mercedes R-Class a niche too far), and BMW play the game too, with cars like the BMW X6M and the new BMW 5 Series GT. If the Mercedes E Class Coupe Estate does go in to production it will bring to five the number of models based on the same Class – the saloon, the coupe, the cabriolet and the estate plus this new Coupe Estate.
The 2011 Ford Mondeo Sport - only 3000 being built
We’re almost up to the next plateĀ changeĀ in the UK (60 reg out next month) and Ford are getting out the marketing tools to tempt buyers in to showrooms. One of the top foot-fall makers is the Limited Edition, with extra kit for not a lot of extra dosh. Which as we always say is great if you’d have specced the options thrown in anyway.
The new McLaren 650S Coupe (pictured) officially revealed
After an initial tease last week, we had the first official photos of the new McLaren 650s yesterday which has prompted McLaren to do the right thing and officially reveal the new 650S today. Just as we’ve already reported, the 650S is a more focused 12C with front end styling that takes its lead from the McLaren P1, more power – up from 616bhp in the 12C to 641bhp (650PS) – and more focus on driver engagement. That new P1 front end new LED headlights mark the 650S out from the 12C, with a more integrated front splitter increasing downforce and door blades behind the front wheels directing air from the trailing edges of the splitter for better front end grip.
