Up for auction is a original  piece of vintage 1959? or 1960? Cadillac interior door trim (#4). Part #(?) on back is RH42. This is a passenger side front door armrest piece. Fits multiple models (verify your application before bidding). In good driver condition. It shows scratches and pitting but still shines. Could be used "as is" on a driver but would need restoration for anything nicer. Please view pictures closely, they convey the items condition better than my words can. This is a piece of door / armrest trim that I won in a lot of '59 & '60 Cadillac interior parts here on eBay about 10 years ago. Please forgive me as I'm not sure of the names of many of these pieces or exactly which pieces are from which models or years but if you need a specific part hopefully you'll recognize it. Some (not all) have part numbers and if they do I will note it.  Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer. Please view the pictures closely as what you see is what you get. Sold as is. No warranty is stated or implied. No returns accepted. Thanks

The Petersen Museum isn't going belly up

Thu, 18 Jul 2013

I hate writing columns like this, the kind where one media outlet calls out another's mistakes. There but for the grace of God go I and all that… But the shrieking and hysteria over the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles going to hell in a handbasket -- that's what the LA Times reported -- is over the top, and it's turned into a fiasco. Here's the background.
