This is a set of 4 new old stock and very rare Marathon edition and Baja edition VW Bugs wheel caps.  Rims also included in this auction. The caps were orginally on the 1972 an 1973 beetles special editions. Not many made, less than 5000. This is an original VW part, German made. These are an original genuine set of VW Beetle Lemmerz Marathon (World Champion)wheel caps. They are NOS (new old stock) and 100% MINT condition, still in paper on one. Genuine original VW from the 1970's. Made in West Germany. These are no longer manufactured. Makes a great addition to your collector VW wheels. Will fit it perfectly and finish off that final detail that will put your beetle over the top! Amazing look for your VW wheels.

Also in this action is the matching set of four rims that go perfectly with the caps.  These are OEM German rims.  Folks that know VW's already know what these are, I don't need to sell you sales pitch.  Very important when matching these rims and caps...you must allow for extra clearance of VW bus/Super Beetle on the front of car.  The cars rotor/axle protrudes out slightly so you would never get the lower rims caps to stop on..it would be pushed off.  To allow for this VW extended the front rims by just a bit for clearance.  Notice the differrence in the pictures in this ad.  There are two of each (for front) and two reglar Baja rims for the back.

The rims were re-painted a number of years ago, but the paint color was matched to the same shade.  I used different caps for the wheels back then (since sold caps) and not the caps in this ad, as these caps are perfect.  I didn't want to risk having them stolen back then.

These wheels and rims have been heavily desired for VW enthusiasts since they were first introduced, and still are.

I will box these rims for $20 per box (it will probably take 2 boxes so-as not to be too heavy to ship). Buyer to arrange pickup or shipping.  I can carry to the Post Office or UPS dropoff point.

So...a full set for you. If you desire a spare...I'll be putting those on sale after this set is sold.  Ask me about it if you win this auction.

Skoda Vision C Concept is a stylish 5-door coupe

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

The Skoda Vision C Concept could be heading for production as an Octavia Coupe The rise and rise of Skoda since it was a Soviet skip maker has been dramatic under the banner of the VW Group, and many of its cars are the pick of the VW Group offerings. But now Skoda look to be heading in a new design direction which looks set to produce far more stylish and dramatic cars than they have to date – just like this Skoda Vision C Concept. The VisionC – seen in the design sketch from Skoda above – is a swoopy five-door coupe with a low roofline, shallow glass area and a steeply-raked windscreen; it looks like a Skoda take on the VW CC or Mercedes CLA.

The Infiniti Eau Rouge concept has received a boost in performance since the Detroit auto show. A 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V6 mated with a seven-speed gearbox now sits underhood. That engine seems mighty familiar.

Bentley to debut Flying Spur V8 at Geneva motor show

Wed, 26 Feb 2014

Bentley is expanding its Flying Spur range, and will now offer a V8 engine as an option in addition to the W12 in the 2015 model year sedan. This seems like a logical extension, given the fact that Bentley has recently offered a V8 engine in the second-generation Continental GT V8, and they'll bring the new version of the Flying Spur to the Geneva Motor Show next week. Bentley being rather straightforward with their naming practices, the new sedan will be called the Flying Spur V8.
