Outerwears Carbon Fiber Box Pre Filter Black - 10-1016-01
Outerwears was created to fulfill a desperate need to keep the Air filter and engine clean during off road racing. Racers and engine builders were experiencing loss of horsepower and engine damage due to sand, dirt, and other debris prematurely packing (clogging) the filter and often passing through the filter into the engine. Filters loading up with dirt meant loss of horsepower and in many cases loss of a race. Race crews were noticing severe engine damage due to dirt entering into the engine. Thus, a true need for a product designed to keep out additional dirt without interfering with airflow was necessary. Skip ahead to today, and the widely used Pre-filter can be seen on a variety of applications from circle track racing, street, motocross, jet-ski, ATV, snowmobile, kart, military, industrial machinery, and consumer appliances. Outerwears has a product for virtually any air intake application.Pre-Filters unique polyester material contains uniform, micron-sized openings to allow air in while filtering out the grime that will eventually clog an air filter or breather. ATTENTION: Does NOT come with carburetor! |

Toyota FT-86 Concept – say ‘hachi roku’
Tue, 06 Oct 2009The Toyota FT-86 Concept will preview at Tokyo The FT-86 (hachi roku is Japanese for 86) is a small (13′ 8″ long) rear-wheel drive sports coupe which is going to turn up not just as a Toyota but also as a Subaru. It uses the 2.0 Boxer engine found in the Impreza, but by the time it finds its way to market in 2011 – as both a Toyota and a Subaru – it’s likely to get the next generation Boxer lump. The FT-86 is Toyota’s way of launching itself back in to the sports market – a market it once did well in with cars like the MR2 – and gain some credibility, and custom, from younger drivers.
