2015 Land Rover Defender delayed – creating the absolute dog’s danglers will take longer

Recently, we reported  Land Rover’s design director Gerry McGovern saying of the 2015 Land Rover Defender  “This car will be the bollocks, I assure you. The absolute dog’s bollocks.” But it seems that creating the absolute dog’s danglers is going to take a bit longer than planned. Autocar are reporting that John Edwards – Land Rover’s Global Brand Director – has said the new Defender will not be going in to production in 2015 as planned, although Land Rover are planning to scrap the current Defender then as it will no longer meet emissions regulations.

2015 Lincoln Navigator gets a fresh face

Lincoln has just unveiled a refreshed 2015 Navigator. The Navigator received its last visual updates in 2007, but today steps out with a fresh fascia and improved interior and exterior styling. Seven years is a lifetime in the car world, and the 2015 Navigator will have some pretty stiff competition in the luxury SUV class including the Mercedes-Benz GL and Cadillac Escalade.

2012 Jeep Compass and Patriot to be recalled for fuel-tank problem

Chrysler is recalling nearly 1,700 all-wheel-drive-equipped 2012 Jeep Patriot and 2012 Jeep Compass SUVs for a possible defect in the fuel system. In certain affected vehicles, a valve designed to prevent fuel leakage in the event of a rollover can leak. This is due to damage sustained in testing at the facility where they were manufactured.
