The swingarm spools provide a sturdy & solid mounting point for a rear stand to allow motorcycles to be lifted and supported upright without using a kickstand for servicing or storing bikes. Swingarm spool sliders help minimize damage to the bike by acting as a buffer between the ground and the motorcycle during a collision, spreading out the force of impact and letting the bike slide to a more natural stop. The swingarm spools are constructed from heavy duty black delrin. Available in 8mm, 6mm & 10mm sizes to fit the pre-threaded holes most bikes have. Ford Transit van gets five-cylinder turbodiesel

The full-size Ford Transit van that replaces the E-series Econoline in late 2013 will have a turbocharged five-cylinder diesel in its powertrain lineup. Today Ford uses the 3.2-liter engine in the Ranger pickup sold in international markets. The engine, which wears Ford's Power Stroke marketing name for diesel engines, is built in South Africa and will be exported to the Transit assembly plant near Kansas City, Mo.

Masters students on the Transportation Design course at Scuola Politecnica di Design in Milan, Italy have recently displayed the results of a project done in collaboration with Lamborghini. Twenty students were faced with the delicious task of reinterpreting the legendary Espada, the four-seater front-engined GT designed by Gandini under Bertone in 1968. Guided by Professor Marco Bonetto, the project spanned one year and included the active involvement of Walter De'Silva, Director of Design for Audi Brand Group (Audi, SEAT, Lamborghini), and Luc Donckerwolke, Design Director of Lamborghini.
