Jaguar F-Type Coupe to bow at LA Auto Show
Tue, 05 Nov 2013One of the most fevered rumors in automobildom will be all but confirmed at the Los Angeles International Auto Show, when the Jaguar F-Type Coupe makes its debut. Remember that the Jaguar C-X16 concept first showed itself in LA back in 2011, and we rather liked that car. The F-Type Coupe, in all of its production-ready glory, will look achingly similar to that concept.
First Fiat 500s will have stick shifts
Mon, 17 Jan 2011The 2012 Fiat 500 , heading to U.S. dealerships later than first expected, is enduring another hiccup: The first units arriving in dealerships in late February will have manual transmissions, the company said. Moreover, only about 20 percent of the 130 Fiat dealerships will be open when those first cars arrive, said Laura Soave, head of the Fiat brand in North America, at the Detroit auto show last week.
Thomas Ingenlath: Volvo Concept C to end 'vanilla' design era [w/Video]
Tue, 27 Aug 2013Volvo has promised a radical change in its future design language that will be embodied in its Concept C coupé, the first concept to be developed since head of design Thomas Ingenlath's appointment in July 2012. Our first look at the concept, which debuts at this month's Frankfurt motor show, comes from a video starring Ingenlath (see left). At first it seems to just show him sketching while he explains how some people see Volvo design as "vanilla" – nice, but not iconic or cutting-edge – but if we slow it down at around the 11-second mark, we get a preview of what we can expect.
