PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Parrot MKi9100 presents itself as Bluetooth®-based hands-free system with an OLED display. A wireless remote control that can be positioned on the steering wheel or dashboard, the driver to control all the functions of the hands-free system.

In addition to conventional telephony functions - pick up, hang up, dual calls - the Parrot MKi9100 a whole range of advanced special functions:

Automatic phonebook synchronization
speaker voice recognition without teach-in
Speech synthesis of the names in the phonebook
Contact management (up to 2,000 contacts per phone)
Call lists.

On the OLED display all relevant information for the user are displayed: address, identity of the caller, phone information and user settings.

In order to ensure convenient and intuitive operation, the menus and messages are also audible in the address book.

Digital music on the go in the car

In addition, the Parrot MKi9100 is also distinguished by their musical talent. The cable supplied also enables the connection with all popular music sources: iPod, iPhone, USB flash drive, Bluetooth stereo enabled phone (A2DP), MP3 players and any other analogue players. The screen of the MKi9100 displays the playlist along with the name of the current artist and track titles on (ID3 tag display for iPod / iPhone or USB connection) and thus makes for an ideal music navigation.

Music is delivered through the car's speakers. This both driver and passengers can enjoy exceptional sound quality and benefit from the special sound effects Virtual Super Bass Sound Spatializer.

With respect to optimal audio quality when calling the Parrot MKi9100 combines double microphone technology with a brand new signal processing software ( DSP -3), by all of them are audible in the passenger compartment interference and ambient noise selectively filter out. With the vast proliferation of BMW models, there just aren’t enough motor shows to go round, so Tokyo was treated to the unusual sight of two world debuts from the Germans: the outwardly sensible (but mental behind its closed four doors) M3 and the mental-in-every-way Concept 1 Series tii. The Concept 1 Series tii, BMW executives were extremely keen to point out, is a design study intended to highlight the new coupe’s links to great road and racing BMWs of the past, such as the 2002 tii of the 60s and 70s and the brilliant 3.0 CSL of the 70s.

This is the new Aston Martin Virage, a V12-engined GT to sit halfway between the DB9 and the DBS. It will be officially unveiled to the public, along with the Aston Martin Vantage S, at the 2011 Geneva motor show next week. Numbers are easy to understand, so let’s start with the figures produced by the 6.0-litre V12 shared between the trio: the DB9 has 470bhp and 442lb ft, the DBS 510bhp and 420lb ft, and the Virage sits neatly between the two with 490bhp and 420lb ft.

Shocking stats reveal mobile use while driving

AS MANY as 13% of drivers are still using hand-held mobile phones while at the wheel, according to a survey. And 4% have admitted to regularly sending or reading text messages while driving, the poll by road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line showed. The number of people owning up to using hand-held mobiles at the wheel has fallen from 36% in 2006 to the current figure of 13%.
