Scottsdale, Arizona, US
You are bidding on a BRAND NEW, HD PASSENGER FOOTBOARD Boot Guard Set by Boot Dr.™ (Part # PB-I) INVENTORY BLOW OUT SALE MEANS HUGE $AVING$ for you!!
This PB-I Set of boot guards by Boot Dr.™ is made of premium stainless steel. These guards quickly and easily install on all Harley-Davidson® Motorcycles with STANDARD, OEM PASSENGER footboards. (these guards will NOT fit on "Swept Wing" style passenger boards such as Aileron or Streamliner)
These guards are designed specifically for HD TOURING MODEL CYCLES (FL's) and feature an interior edge guard. They prevent your passenger's boot heel from melting all over your hot exhaust while still allowing them to slide their boots off the back of the board if they wish. Installation is a very easy, and takes only 30 minutes or less. You simply remove your mounting bracket with the footboards still attached, drill 2 small holes on the BACK SIDE of the casting and then attach the guards with 2 self-tapping screws, which are included in the kit. We also include a SPACER BLOCK, which you need to install between the mounting bracket and the frame on the LEFT SIDE footboard, so that you can space that board out 1". You need the extra 1" of space so that the left side guard will not hit your derby cover when the footboard is folded up and not in use.
All of the necessary hardware & simple installation instructions are included in the original factory packaging.

This could be your first autonomous vehicle
Thu, 09 Jan 2014While Google's autonomous fleet of robot cars prowls Silicon Valley and gets all the press, the first, or one of the first, truly autonomous vehicles you may ride in could be something like this: The humble, people-moving Navia. Developed by a French company called Induct, the Navia is ringed with laser beams (not frickin' laser beams. Ed.) that help it navigate through city streets or college campuses without the aid of a track in the ground, a rail or even GPS (GPS is not accurate enough, Induct says).

Iowa distributes thumb bands imprinted with ‘TXTING KILLS'
Tue, 19 Oct 2010Thumb bands that read “TXTNG KILLS” have been making their way around the state of Iowa, the Wall Street Journal reports. The bands--which are meant to serve as a reminder to avoid texting while driving--have been distributed at events such as the Iowa State Fair and the Iowa-Iowa State college football game. “A lot of people want them for their kids,” Courtney Greene, spokeswoman for Iowa's Department of Public Safety, told the Wall Street Journal.
