New Land Rover Discovery Sport leaks ahead of tomorrow’s debut

First photo of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport The new Land Rover Discovery Sport - the start of a new line of Discovery models that will replace both the current Discovery and Freelander – is due to be revealed tomorrow. But it’s here already. Autoblg.it has jumped the gun and publsihed photos of the new Discover Sport ahead of tomorrow’s reveal, and it looks better than the Discovery Vision Concept did.

It seems to epitomise all the was impressive about the decade and – despite now being 50 years old – it still stands up as a stylish and desirable car. Not only is the E-type stylish and iconic it’s having new life breathed back in to it by companies like Eagle, who build E-Types to order from restoration projects and to a standard that surpasses the way they ever came out of British Leyland (or whatever the name of the company was that built them at the time  - there were several iterations of the BL Brand, unfortunately).

The 420bhp, 4.2-litre V8-powered 911 rival will hit 188mph (or 301kph) and gets to 62mph in 4.6secs. The Lamborghini Gallardo-based supercar will cost an estimated £75,000 when it arrives in the UK in May, with the Audi R Tronic sequential manual costing an extra £5000.
