Volkswagen used today’s Bologna motor show to unveil its Mk2 Golf Plus, the third Golf model (after the three- and five-door hatchbacks) to get Wolfsburg’s latest looks. That new nose is indeed the obvious change. The headlamps, now with daytime running lights, receive a little nip on the inner edges and the two-bar grille is now in high-gloss black.

It’s arguably the most predictable news story of the year so far, but research by the World Bank has revealed Britain’s roads are the most congested in Europe. According to the figures, there are 77 vehicles per kilometre of road in Britain – 76% higher than the European average. Compare that to Norway, where there are just 29 vehicles per kilometre.

The Citroen C4 Aircross debuts at Geneva 2012
Citroen will give their C4 Aircross its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show next week as well as new DS3, DS4 & DS5 models. We got the reveal of the new Citroen C4 Aircross – Citroen’s version of the Peugeot 4008 and Mitsubishi ASX – back in September 2011, and now Citroen are giving the Aircross its first public outing at the Geneva Motor Show ahead of a launch in Europe in the Autumn. The decent-looking C4 Aircross makes a good fist of marking itself out as a Citroen, and seems to offer a credible option in the compact SUV stakes.
