Perrin Performance Recirculating Bypass Valve / Blow Off Valve Kit Fits 2002-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.0L Turbo (EJ205 Engine) Fits 2006-2007 Subaru Impreza WRX 2.5L Turbo (EJ255 Engine) Fits 2004-2013 Subaru Impreza WRX STI 2.5L Turbo (EJ257 Engine) Part Number # PSP-INT-600BK Black
The blow off valve is essential to all turbocharged vehicles. The purpose of the Perrin 02-07 WRX & 04-13 STI blow off valve is to relieve compressor surge without reducing compressor speed. This Perrin recirculating blow off valve for the 02-07 WRX & 04-13 STI controls boost pressure that is built up by the turbo and vents it into the atmosphere when your Subaru is not under load (in between shifts). This prevents pressure from backing up into the compressor housing, causing the turbo impeller blade to rapidly stop or even worse, to spin backwards (compressor surge or backspin). Doing so can be potentially destructive to the turbine wheel, shaft, and turbo life in your WRX or STI.
The Perrin Recirculating Blow off Valve for the 02-07 WRX & 04-13 STI is a direct bolt on for a simple install. Since this blow off valve recirculates air just like your stock blow off valve, you will not experience a rich condition between shifts, or hear a loud rush of air expelled. The Perrin Recirculating Blow off Valve is rated to hold 190 psi, so this blow off valve will never leak under high boost pressures. This BOV is designed to recirculate only and can not be set up to vent to atmosphere. CONSTRUCTION
The PERRIN blow off valve cap, piston & flange are all CNC machined from 6061 Billet Aluminum. The body is CNC machined from a single block of aluminum. No additional bolt on pieces means we eliminate potential leaks.
ADJUSTABLE RELIEF PRESSURE
The PERRIN BOV features an adjustable cap which allows you to tailor when your BOV will release. Set it up loose for a smoother release of boost at light loads and RPM. Or crank down the cap to release boost only at higher boost loads and RPMs. This feature is independent of relief volume.
ADJUSTABLE RELIEF VOLUME
Our unique design allows you to adjust the volume of air released when blowing off. This adjustment is independent of the resistance to blowing off. Venting too little can damage the turbo, venting too much air can will make the throttle less responsive.

Mazda reveals Mazda2 EV with range-extender Wankel rotary engine
It’s long seemed logical that a compact Wankel rotary engine – running at a constant speed – would be a great way of fitting electric cars with a range-extender option. Audi flirted with the idea of fitting the A1 e-tron with a Wankel engine a couple of years ago, but that got shelved. And Mazda – keepers of the Wankel flame – came up with the idea of a Wankel engine bolted in to an EV and powered by hydrogen last year, but it seems to0 have gone nowhere.

If you thought the G63 AMG was the meanest and most exclusive version of the Mercedes-Benz G-class that you could buy today, you haven't seen the version that Mercedes-Benz coachbuilder BINZ GmbH has been making for more than two decades. That's right, the smug owners of those G63 AMGs you see parked in front of trendy restaurants downtown do not, in fact, possess the coolest version of the long-running G-class. BINZ is known in other markets as the maker of Mercedes-Benz limousines and ambulances, but their wares are almost entirely unknown in the western hemisphere.

A couple of nondenial denials from Mercedes-Benz execs at the New York auto show this week sure made it sound like there's a convertible coming, based on the redesigned S-class due out next year. If the brand follows its usual practice, the convertible would come out a year or two after the sedan. Significantly, Mercedes-Benz showed the Ocean Drive convertible concept five years ago with a Mercedes-Benz badge, rather than Maybach.
