Flame-Thrower II coils feature a very low resistance which make them the ideal coil for Ignitor II ignition systems as well as many other high performance ignitions. Low resistance and improved turns ratio help to produce up to 45,000 Volts. This higher Voltage enables you to run larger spark plug gaps for added power and better fuel economy. These coils are also compatible with most capacitive discharge boxes including our own Second Strike Coil Style: Canister Primary Resistance: 0.600 Ohms Secondary Resistance: 10 Kilo Ohms Maximum Voltage: 45000 Volt Internal Construction: Oil-Filled Diameter (IN): 2.15 Inch Color: Black Features 45,000 Volt Canister CoilsLow 0.6 Ohm Primary ResistanceLow Resistance And Improved Turns Ratio Help To Produce Up To 45,000 VoltsThis Higher Voltage Enables You To Run Larger Spark Plug Gaps For Added Power And Better Fuel EconomyFor Use With Inductive Or CD Ignition SystemsCoils Are Also Compatible With Most Capacitive Discharge Boxes

Hyundai integrates Smartphones in to their cars
Sat, 22 Dec 2012Hyundai is harnessing the power of the Smartphone to make in-car information and driver settings integrate seamlessly. For those of us old enough to remember the first mobile phones – and the first home PCs – the realisation that we’re all walking round now with Smartphones that have more processing power than it took to put a man on the moon is almost mind boggling. Sadly, most of us use just a fraction of the capabilities of our phones, but the fact we have all that clever tech tucked in our trouser pockets gives car makers the opportunity to harness it to provide more functionality for their cars.
Some hybrids are not a green as they seem, interest group says
Mon, 18 Jul 2011Car buyers who think they are helping the planet by choosing a hybrid vehicle to aid in cutting emissions don't always get the biggest bang for their buck, according to an environmental interest group. A report from the Union of Concerned Scientists shows that some hybrids come at a much higher price tag than their similarly equipped, conventional-powertrain counterparts, yet offer little in the way of environmental gain. These not-so-green hybrids compromise their value or eco-friendliness in a variety of ways.
