TO start with , there has been a price increase. This web site and pay pal EACH charge me 10 % (20% total when you buy two gear sets. I have split the costs ,
1/2 to you , 1/2 to me. I have every gear set for a Hewland or Webster Mk 4 , 6 , 8 , and 9. My inventory goes from 14/36 all the way up to a 27/25 ( overdrive ). I also carry all three reverse gears that are used in Mk-9 and Mk-8 transmissions. These are often hard to find and mine are new , mostly Hewland brand. all the gear sets are in good to excellent condition. Two sets are sold for $410 or some times less. .New gear sets from England would cost you anywhere from $300+ to $750 for EACH SET. ( yes , there has been a big price jump recently ) The two gear sets ( 4 gears ) for $410 are very good , however a gear may have a scratch.....nothing to reduce it's performance , all teeth intact , all dogs good to excellent , just that they may be less than perfect. Many gears sold on E-bay are in my opinion.......poor. The gears that I sell I have used and would use again in my Formula Atlantic Ralt. If you want new gear sets the cost is more. The transmission pictured is for sale. The trans is $5500 plus shipping. It is a REBUILT 4 speed . We can also rebuild your gear box , 4 or 5 speed. I have rebuilt Hewland Mk-9s on the shelf , ready to go out. Shipping is usually $250. Rebuilt Hewlands are $5500. I also have several other transmissions available , Ralt-Hewland , Reynard-Hewland , Lotus -Hewland , etc. If you send me your gear box , I will rebuild your box for $1200 plus parts and machining. We can also convert your 4 speed to a 5 speed or a 5 speed to a 4 speed. We can also exchange input shafts so that you will have the correct input shaft for your race car.. I used that information to create a trans lubricant that allows nearly zero wear. I tried it in my own Atlantic hewland gear boxes and found it to reduce wear to near zero. Along with the trans lube I created a tire softener . The combination of the two , allows me to start a race and immediately gain 100 to 500 yards on the field. The trans lube and the tire softener sell for $20.00 a bottle , which includes shipping in the lower 48. Larger orders of tire softener , and/or trans lube are reduced in price appropriately.. So the Lib Dem bit of the coalition has decided that the Government should lead by example and have declared that the Government Car Service – which supplies cars for ministers and ‘government’ use – will start to acquire electric cars from this Autumn and, as part of the £5 million scheme, the wider public sector will be involved with council, police and NHS fleets looking seriously at EVs. But this scheme is aimed at the sorts of government cars that do the daily grind; ferrying junior ministers, getting staff to meetings and making deliveries in commercial vehicles.

Porsche: Most successful manufacturer at Le Mans The Zuffenhausen-based carmaker has plenty of heritage to draw upon as it enters its LMP1 car development programme. Porsche have won the Le Mans 24hr race 16 times since 1970 with racing models including the 917, 956, 962 and 911GT1.
Lincoln gets own design studio
Tue, 16 Aug 2011Ford is creating a dedicated design studio for its luxury brand Lincoln in an ongoing bid to rejuvenate the brand and position it further apart from the core Ford offering. The new design studio will be situated in the Product Development Center in Dearborn, Michigan, with Max Wolff – recruited from Cadillac last year – charged with leading the brand in its revival efforts. Ford has also announced that it will be increasing spending on the brand, giving it unique interiors and powertrains.
