Nissan Juke: New Photos
Sat, 29 May 2010New photo gallery of the Nissan Juke below The push to get Nissan’s compact crossover – the Nissan Juke – in to car buyers’ sights will be ramping up over the coming months as Nissan tries to make the Juke as big a surprise success as its big brother – the Nissan Qashqai. The Qashqai almost single handed created a new niche, and the Nissan Juke looks to us as if it has every chance of doing the same. GM Korea doubles size of its design center
Wed, 30 Apr 2014GM has invested $40million in its Korea Design Center, doubling the size of the facility. The expanded studio opened on 25 April, and will give improved support for both exterior and interior design. As well as more studio space, the upgraded facility now includes improved exterior modeling and 3D printing facilities, an outdoor viewing area with three turntables, and a virtual reality studio – the latter allowing design reviews to take place in real time with GM's network of nine other design centers in six other countries around the world.
College Exhibition: IED Fiat/Chrysler project
Fri, 13 Nov 2009Second year students at the Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) in Turin, Italy, recently completed a Fiat/Chrysler sponsored project, which began in February 2009. Conceived as a didactic exercise to think about the recent alliance between Fiat and Chrysler, 37 students were asked to design a vehicle capable of combining the technical know-how, platforms and values of both brands in order to generate interesting and competitive new products for the European and the American markets. In creating their concepts, students were asked to take into account the style, economic accessibility and the low environmental impact of Fiat vehicles as well as the new platforms and major industrial and production capacity afforded by the Italian automaker's alliance with the Chrysler brand.
