It’s 20 years this week since the iconic McLaren F1 made its debut at The Sporting Club in Monte Carlo. There were many reasons why we thought McLaren would preview the new F1 to a select audience at last week’s Monaco Grand Prix, not least of which was that it’s 20 years since the first McLaren F1 was revealed to a select audience in the Principality. But it was not to be.

Hyundai has teased its NAIAS concept, the Curb, ahead of its official unveiling next week, where it will debut alongside a production version of the company's Veloster coupe. The Curb is a compact crossover with a coupe roofline, tapered DLO and exaggerated wheel arches reminiscent of the Nissan Juke, and is similarly difficult to judge in terms of scale from these images. While its exterior appears production feasible, the Curb's interior would seem to live up to its 'concept' billing, with extensive use of smart materials and touchscreen HMI.

James Bond Car Exhibition 2012 Nothing has defined the James Bond franchise – the film franchise, that is – in quite the same way as its cars. So what better way than to have the biggest James Bond car exhibition – in the world – to celebrate fifty years of James Bond films? That’s exactly what is being planned by the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu and EON Productions (they of the James Bond films), who plan to exhibit more James Bond cars in one place than ever before – and for the whole of 2012.
