Saleen announces new electric supercar
Wed, 04 Dec 2013Californian tuner and sometimes supercar-builder Saleen has confirmed it is working on an all-new electric car, with plans to debut the new model in 2015. Perhaps best known for the 248mph Saleen S7 Twin Turbo, which went out of production in 2009, the firm specialises in providing performance upgrades for modern American muscle cars, including the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro. Saab sale to NEVS delayed
Mon, 27 Aug 2012The sale of what’s left of Saab to National Electric Vehicle Sweden (NEVS) has been delayed over funding and rights to the Saab name. We all thought, finally, that the end of the Saab saga had come when National Electric Vehicle Sweden was successful in gaining approval from the Saab administrators to acquire what was left of Saab after GM and Spyker failed to agree the sale of Saab as a going concern. The sad fact is that NEVS aren’t planning to carry on the proud tradition of Saab, with its innovative and quirky cars so loved by design professionals, but plan to put the Saab badge on a range of new electric cars.
Range Rover Evoque Cosworth: the faster Evoque
Wed, 08 Dec 2010The new Range Rover Evoque is soon to rub shoulders with British tuning specialist Project Kahn. This teaser picture has surfaced online, suggesting a full-on makeover, showing off go-faster stripes and Cosworth branding to give the Evoque a sporty edge. Kahn is rumoured to be working on Ford's 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which has plenty of scope for tuning. The Blue Oval produces a maximum of 240bhp in its current applications. Alex Yeung of Kahn Designs confirmed the project to CAR.
