Up for bid is a mid 70's Pontiac 455 engine. Engine is disassembled. Engine comes with many parts. One set of Pontiac 455 heads with roller rocker arms, one set of Pontiac 400 heads which were on the engine and sucked a valve. Also has edelbrock intake manifold, Comp cam 51-222-4, double roller timing chain, headers, mallory 2758001 distributor, chrome valve covers and air cleaner, fan blade and other parts for the engine. It was in a 1967 lemans GTO clone that had an LS1 swap done. Please ask any questions and good luck bidding. Have other pictures of parts but could only load 12. Can send more pics. Sat, 29 Mar 2014Lewis Hamilton takes pole in Malaysia in heavy rain Lewis Hamilton has secured his second pole position in two outings for Mercedes at the Malaysian Grand Prix – equaling Jim Clark’s record of 33 poles – as rain turned the Sepang track in to a lake. And with drivers quickly going on to full wets – and cars flying off the track as the rain took control of the qualifying sessions – the playing field was levelled, allowing Red Bull’s reigning World Champion, Sebastian Vettel, to almost pip Hamilton to pole, taking second place just 0.055s behind the Brit. Behind Vettel is the winner of the opening Australian Grand Prix, Nico Rosberg, in the second Mercedes, followed by the Ferrari of Fernando Alonso and the Red Bull of new boy Daniel Ricciardo – who was so impressive in Asutrali two weeks ago – taking fifth spot.
BMW and Pininfarina to show Gran Lusso Coupé concept at Villa d'Este
Wed, 15 May 2013BMW and Pininfarina have collaborated on a concept car – the Gran Lusso Coupé – for the 2013 Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este. Previewed in these teaser images, the gloriously glamorous-sounding Gran Lusso (lusso being Italian for ‘luxury') appears to fuse BMW iconography – the front fender vent, Hofmeister kink DLO and horizontal rear lamp treatment – with a little more Latin flair with a rocker that flicks up the rear lamp and joins the shoulder line. The full-width rear lamps also promise to be suitably exotic.
McLaren 12C Spider: Lots more new photos arrive
Sat, 13 Oct 2012The McLaren 12C Spider was revealed in July, but with just a handful of photos available. But now McLaren has rectified their photo count. Even when the 12C Spider took its public bow at Pebble Beach in August there wasn’t anything new from McLaren’s snappers, and at the Paris Motor show all eyes were on the McLaren P1, so nothing more for the 12C Spider from there either.
