Saab is sold again: two Chinese makers buy Saab

Chinese car makers Pang Da and Youngman today agreed to buy Saab in its entirety from Swedish Automobile. It's the latest extraordinary twist in the saga of Saab, which has been technically bankrupt since September 2011 and built just 11,000 cars this year. The deal, which will see the Chinese car makers pay €100 million for Saab, has not yet however been signed and sealed.

New 2013 Ford S-Max Concept revealed

Ford will debut a new S-Max Concept at the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. As the name suggests, this previews a future replacement for the current S-Max ‘sports activity vehicle’ – the people carrier that does everything it can to avoid having you feel like you’re driving a people carrier… We’ve been given a sneak peak of the new MPV at a special pre-Frankfurt event in Dusseldorf – and if the thought of a sporty new S-Max gets your heart racing, don’t worry: this concept comes with an app for that. The new Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 (pictured) gets Vantage S power It’s tough having motor shows to attend and nothing new to offer, so car makers tend to deliver a ‘Special Edition’ of an existing model to make it look like they’ve made and effort. Step forward the Aston Martin V8 Vantage N430 and the Aston Martin DB9 Carbon Black & Carbon White Editions. There’s little new on offer, really, with a rehashing of what Aston Martin has produced before as ‘Limited Edition’ cars, with the V8 Vantage N430 continuing the theme of Vantage  ’N’ Editions and the Carbon’ limited edition’ DB9s done before.
