Perhaps the most promising EVs from Audi so far have been the A2 EV (pictured above) and the A1 range extender with a small Wankel engine in the boot to charge the battery. But even they were dropped from Audi’s production plans last year. But now it seems Audi are back in the production EV game with plans to produce an Audi e-tron using the underpinnings of the electric VW e-Up, but with Audi styling and an upmarket Audi interior and high-end Infotainment.

We hope Simon LeBon's mysterious “treasure in the dark” wasn't a turbocharger. If the Duran Duran frontman deigns to pick up a Hyundai Veloster RE:FLEX, he won't be getting one. The RE:FLEX package, announced at the Chicago Auto Show adds chrome 18” wheels, extra brightwork on the door handles and hood, a passel of LEDs, a pair of light-up doorsills and the standard 138-hp, 1.6L engine.

In the light of the new, global-focused ATS and hot-off-the-press CTS sedans, the full-sized, US-centric Cadillac XTS is somewhat of an anomaly in the new Caddy clan. It's been earmarked as a stopgap flagship before a proper rear-wheel drive challenger to the Mercedes S-class and Lexus LS comes on stream.
