PLANS ON CD 

You will be buying a set of plans for the POWELL PH RACER aircraft.

It is what its name says it is! Relatively small, very fast for its size and weight, and not that difficult to construct (it will be a huge plus if you can weld or have access to a welder and a 'friend').

This material on this CD, complete with instructions and diagrams, should allow you to build this aircraft. This will NOT qualify as an 'ultralight' under current regulations in the United States, but should qualify as a 'sport-light' craft.

The material on this CD is in PDF format and requires a PDF file-reader. If you do not already have a PDF file reader on your computer, there are many of these that are available on the internet for free downloading and free to use.

The clarity of the text and the drawings is MUCH MUCH better than these reduced samples might lead you to believe. You will be happy with the material on this CD!

Satoshi Wada, former Senior Designer at Audi AG and Nissan Design Japan, is set to open his own design studio. Called SWdesign TOKYO, his ambitious plan follows on from a growing line of design managers who have left successful OEMs to establish their own design practices. Wada, who resigned from Audi AG in Ingolstadt earlier this month, told CDN he is aiming "to create a new vision with my own independent design studio in Tokyo".

Shocking stats reveal mobile use while driving

AS MANY as 13% of drivers are still using hand-held mobile phones while at the wheel, according to a survey. And 4% have admitted to regularly sending or reading text messages while driving, the poll by road safety charity Brake and insurance company Direct Line showed. The number of people owning up to using hand-held mobiles at the wheel has fallen from 36% in 2006 to the current figure of 13%.
