Audi’s new A1 range (2010): the latest news

By Tim Pollard Motor Industry 13 October 2009 09:38 Audi top brass last night outlined plans for the 2010 launch of the new Audi A1 family, including a whole range of A1 hatchbacks and potentially A1 estates, convertibles and small 4x4s. The Audi A1 will be positioned slap bang against BMW’s burgeoning Mini family when UK sales begin in autumn 2010, priced from around £11,000. The new A1 three-door hatch will be unveiled first at the 2010 Geneva motor show, with continental sales kicking off next summer.

Lexus teases Frankfurt SUV concept (2013)

Lexus has released the first picture of what’s expected to be its new SUV concept car, bound for the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013. Clearly set to employ the sharp-creased design and huge ‘spindle grille’ cues from the current Lexus range – not to mention the LF-LC coupe concept – Lexus is nevertheless staying tight-lipped on details of its new model. We’ll see the car revealed completely in early September.

Kia Sportage (2010 / 2011) revealed

Kia has revealed the Sportage which will debut at Geneva It’s lagging a bit behind its sibling from Hyundai, but Kia’s version of the ix35 – The Kia Sportage – has now been revealed and will debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. As with the Hyundai ix35, the Kia Sportage is leaps and bounds on from the old car. Its design language, which comes from the guidance of  former Audi designer Peter Schreyer, is as competent and as effective as anything from Europe or Japan.
