GM wants to wrap up Opel sale quickly

General Motors is anxious to wrap up the sale of Opel, a top executive said Tuesday. The bidding has been narrowed to Canadian auto parts conglomerate Magna--which is favored by the German government--and Belgian investors RHJ International. "I think everyone is anxious to get this thing done," GM CFO Ray Young said, according to Automotive News.

Peugeot HR1 concept

Alongside the new 508, Peugeot unveiled a B-segment SUV concept called the HR1 in Paris. The new car builds on the new design identity established by the SR1 concept, but also features elements of the diminutive BB1 concept revealed at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. The BMW 5-series GT is already a striking ride, and now German tuners Hamann have worked their magic on the crossover with performance, aero and visual enhancements. The 5-series GT is thoroughly modified by the speed shop. The exterior is marked by a host of custom parts, including side skirts, front and rear spoilers and four stainless-steel exhaust pipes that measure 90 millimeters in diameter.
