Two tools in one, the PL2140 functions as an advanced automatic battery charger to immediately bring depleted batteries to full charge, plus it functions as an advanced automatic battery maintainer, conditioning and maintaining batteries in long term storage. Charges Multiple Battery Types Compatible with a wide variety of battery types, including Conventional, AGM, Gel Cell, Spiral Wound, Deep Cycle and Marine batteries. If it is a 6 or 12 Volt lead acid battery installed in a vehicle, boat or implement, the PL2140 can charge and maintain it properly to ensure that it is ready when you need it next. Versatile Charging With a convenient quick attach cord on the output side, the maintainer interfaces with several accessories equipped with a quick attach connector, including battery clamps, ring terminals and 12V male adapter. Battery Repair Mode The PL2140 features Battery Repair and Soft Start modes, which automatically commence when needed, to effectively manage sulfated or deeply discharged batteries. When attempting to charge a severely discharged battery, where the battery’s charge is too low for the charger to activate, the operator can force the charger to start charging, avoiding the “dead battery dilemma.” Recovery Mode The PL2140 can be programmed to recover automatically from power outages, eliminating the need to reset the charger. Wed, 16 Sep 2009Ford has revealed the 2010 Focus ECOnetic at Frankfurt For the first time Ford has made Start-Stop an option, which was something we thought should be added to the Fiesta ECOnetic when we had it. The Focus ECOnetic also benefits from Smart Regenerative Charging and something called Tension FEAD (no, we had no idea either, but apparently it reduces friction) which help make the new ECOnetic Focus more economical and less polluting. With Stop-Start fitted to the 1.6 litre Duratorq TDCi the Focus manages to hit the magic 99g/km mark.
