NHTSA investigates fuel-tank problem with 2004 Chevrolet Corvettes
Tue, 18 May 2010The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened an investigation into a potentially leaky fuel-tank problem with the 2004 Chevrolet Corvette. The investigation was launched on May 12 and covers an estimated 33,000 Corvettes. There have been 30 reports from consumers alleging either leaking liquid or fuel vapor coming from a tank, NHTSA said.
Caterham creator Graham Nearn dies

Originally a Lotus dealer, Nearn built a highly successful sports-car business around the lightweight two-seat Lotus Seven, which he bought from Lotus founder Colin Chapman in 1973.

The established car makers will use the experience Tesla has gained developing the high-performance, £92,000 Roadster as a short cut to getting their own electric cars on sale.
