Infiniti opens London design studio
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Shiro Nakamura, Alfonso Albaisa and Simon Cox have officially opened Infiniti Design London, as Nissan's premium brand becomes fully separated. "We have a clear vision to make Infiniti a key premium brand," said Nakamura, senior VP of design to the assembled press. "Design is a clear defining force." The new studio is adjacent to Nissan Design Europe's base in the Paddington area of London, on the second floor of the protected Battleship Building that also houses Virgin's HQ.

Showcasing Lamborghini's newfound love for carbon fiber as well as an exhaustive list of new technologies for their road cars – such as a pushrod suspension – the Aventador certainly has a supercar-style spec sheet. The V12 engine used in the Aventador is also all-new and when combined with the lightweight carbon monocoque chassis is claimed to provide blistering performance, albeit in an unrevolutionary body. General Motors to offer car sharing via mobile app and OnStar
Wed, 05 Oct 2011General Motors has partnered with a San Francisco-based start-up company named RelayRides to enter the car-sharing business. In early 2012, GM vehicle owners in California will be able to use the OnStar system to rent out their cars when they aren't using them. The service will available nationwide for OnStar subscribers by the end of the year.
