Mercedes-Benz recalls diesel cars for a problem with the fuel filter

Mercedes-Benz is recalling nearly 7,000 diesel vehicles from the 2011 and 2012 model years to fix a possible defect with the diesel filter that could cause it to leak fuel. Mercedes said it is concerned that a crash or a fire could ensue in the event of a fuel leak from the area around the heating component in affected vehicles. The recall will involve an estimated 6,782 vehicles.

Yes, or if you believe Aston Martin boss Dr Ulrich Bez, ‘the avantgarde luxury car of the future.’ The Lagonda Concept is based on the four-wheel drive chassis of the Mercedes GL (a fruition of the Aston Martin-Mercedes tie up first revealed by our very own Georg Kacher), so it’s four-wheel drive, but unlike like its donor car, the Lagonda version seats just four and features a V12 engine up front.

Lotus Evora Freddie Mercury Edition We really weren’t too sure when we got a press release drop in that said “Another Lotus Bites The Dust…” and then went on to say that Lotus are building a one-off Lotus Evora S Freddie Mercury Edition to be auctioned for the Mercury Phoenix Trust. We thought it was a spoof. We decided it was almost certainly a spoof when the press release went on to say that the Freddie Mercury Edition Evora “…represents a kind of magic” and that the white, red and gold colour scheme was “…inspired by the iconic costume Freddie wore for the 1986 Magic tour”.
