Quik-Latch Mini's can be used as fasteners on body panels, hoods, deck lids, air cleaners and many other purposes and are designed to create a strong connection with a finished look and are manufactured in the USA.

Quik-Latch mini mounting brackets are specifically designed to be used with the Quick-Latch Mini series push button latches and accessories. These brackets have been produced to help flush-mount two components together easily. They are designed to be used in conjunction with the Quik-Latch Minis, pins, and assist springs.

The mounting bracket is internally recessed to allow clearance of the Mini-Latch body. The mounting bracket is attached to the bottom side of one of the components that needs to be mated together. The mounting pin is installed (threaded) into the mounting bracket and adjusted to its proper height while the Mini-Latch body is installed onto the second mating component. The two components are flush mounted together once the latching body snaps onto the mounting stud. To release the two mated components, simply press the latching body button.

Bracket mounting holes: 1.50 inch (center to center)
Inner bracket diameter: 1.00 inch
Bracket height: 0.75inch

BMW M3 coupe gets stripped down to go club racing

Thu, 05 Nov 2009

BMW's M division is back in the business of building specialty street-legal race cars with a new lightweight version of the M3 called the GTS. The lightweight coupe, set to go on sale in early 2010 at a yet-undisclosed price, was conceived as a limited-edition model primarily for club-based racing in much the same way that Porsche builds the 911 GT3 Clubsport. But in a clear effort to link its track-based activities with the production-car side of its business, BMW's M division is offering the new car with a homologation package that will allow customers to register the M3 GTS for street use.

Ford improves simulators to help driver safety

Today's cars are loaded to the hilt with technology. Given modern vehicles' built-in opportunities for driver distraction, not to mention society's penchant for mobile-device use while motoring, it's a wonder we get home safely at all. To that end, Ford has upgraded its Virttex virtual-reality machine to study driver performance in the pursuit of safety devices and driver-aid development.

SsangYong Korando CSX Commercial: It’s a van – sort of

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

SsangYong are continuing their Korando offensive with the Korando CSX Commercial, a van based on the Korando. The Ssangyong Korando is a decent effort to take on cars like the Hyundai ix35 and Ford Kuga, and now they’re having a punt at turning the Korando in to a ‘van’. But they haven’t exactly gone overboard with the detail and appear to have simply removed the back seats and painted out the back windows so no one can see what you’re carrying.
