I have my helmet for sale that I used racing dirt modifieds last year. I bought this helmet from Summit Racing in May of last year. Its in good shape. Still smells new on the inside. It only ran 6 shows on it last year. The back of the helmet has a few small scratches on it from rubbing against my aluminum seat. I'll throw in whatever tear offs I have laying around when i ship it. Its a size medium (7 1/8" to 7 1/4). I also have a G force helmet skirt installed on this helmet as the pictures show. That goes with the helmet as well. Its held on to the helmet by a val-crow strip that came with in the helmet skirt kit. I figured out a few years ago that this skirt helps keep dust from working its way up into your helmet and eyes which means your eyes do not get so dried out by the end of the night. This helmet is rated SA2010 which most racing organizations still allow this spec of helmet in the classes they run (check your rules sheet). I accept PayPal only. There are no returns. Tasked with designing a vehicle that was a ready-made solution for sportsmen in the great state of Texas, entrants were asked to submit their creations via the Local Motors website. The winning design, selected by members of the Local Motors community, was created by Acatrinei Lucian Nicolae.
Chrysler recalls Wrangler, Compass and Patriot
Thu, 06 Jun 2013Chrysler Group said today it will recall more than 220,000 units of the Jeep Wrangler to fix a transmission flaw and 409,000 units of the Jeep Compass and Patriot worldwide to fix a software glitch that could stop airbags and seatbelts from working in a crash. The recalls add to a growing list of safety problems at Chrysler, which stunned the auto industry this week by taking the rare step of rebuffing a recall request from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. On Tuesday, Chrysler refused to recall 2.7 million units of the 1993-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002-07 Jeep Liberty, claiming that the vehicles were built in compliance with safety standards and are not more accident-prone than other vehicles of the time.
Daimler takes 10 percent stake in EV maker Tesla
Tue, 19 May 2009Daimler AG has acquired an equity stake of nearly 10 percent of California electric car maker Tesla Motors Inc., the German automaker said Tuesday. The two companies have been working together to integrate Tesla's lithium-ion battery packs and charging electronics into the first 1,000 units of Daimler's electric Smart car. Daimler said its stake in Tesla will allow the companies to collaborate even more closely on the development of battery systems, electric drive systems and in individual vehicle projects.
