Driver caught at 139mph - on an A-road

A DRIVER caught travelling at 139mph in a 60mph zone leads new data showing dozens of cases of cars being recorded at well in excess of 100mph, according to data sourced from Police Scotland. The fastest speed captured was spotted on the A96 Keith to Huntly Road, one mile east of the B9115 Junction in Aberdeenshire, by a mobile speed camera. The figures, recorded over a 15-month period, were obtained through a Freedom of Information request by the Institute of Advanced Motorists.

Hummer sale agreed

GM has a Memorandum of Understanding in place to sell Hummer to a 'Mystery' buyer GM are reporting that they have reached a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’  with an unnamed buyer to take Hummer of their hands later in the year. Jaguar to build C-X75

Jaguar has announced that the C-X75 concept car from the 2010 Paris Motor show will enter limited production. Strictly limited to just 250 units, the hybrid super car is tipped to cost from £700,000 (depending on local taxes). The C-X75 will utilize a turbocharged 1.6-liter four cylinder engine mated to axle-based electric motors.
