Toyota Auris (2012) first official pictures
Mon, 20 Aug 2012Toyota will showcase the new Auris family hatchback at the 2012 Paris motor show from 27 September. Toyota claim the new car is lighter, more economical and altogether more distinctive than the somewhat forgettable first-gen Auris, but will their efforts be enough to tempt non-geriatrics away from their Astras, Focuses and Golfs? Project Car Hell, 1940s Plutocrat Edition: 1940 Chrysler Imperial or 1946 Lincoln Sedan?
Fri, 06 Jun 2014Project Car Hell is back for another matchup of appealing-yet-appalling project choices. Sometimes we like rusty old trucks suitable for fire roads in Idaho or hunting trails in Kenya, but such Hell Project choices always make the Hell Garage Demons itch for something much different. And, really, what could differ more from boxy, half-century-old 4x4s than great big luxury sedans with model years bookending American involvement in the war that blew up all of Detroit's serious global competitors for a good couple of decades?
Aston Martin V12 Vantage ends & big changes afoot at Aston Martin
Sat, 04 May 2013Launched as a limited edition V12 Vantage in 2009, by 2010 Aston decided there was enough demand to make the V12 Vantage a proper part of Aston’s standard offerings, and since then it’s been the same. The V12 Vantage has also spawned a Roadster version (which, we think, stays in production – at least for now) and the slightly bonkers V12 Zagato, which conspired to look a bit too extreme for an Aston and cost an arm and a leg. We know that AM sold around 1200 V12 Vantage Coupes, around 100 V12 Vantage Roadsters and a handful of V12 Zagatos, but now the run is at an end and we do wonder if there will be a replacement?
