Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: has Ferrari sold out?

Tue, 20 Jul 2010

It's 100 days to go until the world's first Ferrari theme park opens, and the money-spinning brains behind Ferrari World Abu Dhabi have revealed some of the attractions on offer. It's set on Yas Island, a 2500-hectare island dedicated to leisure, entertainment and lifestyle and is licensed out from Ferrari, who have no hand in its running. It's pure licensing profit for Maranello. Ferrari World Abu Dhabi: sounds like a franchise...Yes, it does, doesn't it.

Is the DfT trying to nobble 80mph speed limit trials?

Wed, 31 Oct 2012

With trials proposed for an 80mph speed limit, the ABD are asking if the DfT are trying to fix the trials by running them on congested motorways. When the ConDems came to power, and Philip Hammond was made Transport Secretary, we did hope that might be a sign that government policy on cars would finally make sense, especially when Philip Hammond declared ‘The war on motorists is over‘. Philip’s aim was to look at stuff like national speed limits and create a system that made sense, rather than the silly situation we have where everyone knows you won’t get nicked for 85mph on a motorway unless plod got out of bed the wrong side.

Chevy Volt MPG: Shocking!

And it is the same on every site: The first two comments are fairly sensible and actually relate to whatever the story is, then everybody just starts eating each other's young and blaming the government for everything.
