Please note most text is in Japanese but perhaps you read Japanese as well as I do!  It's the kind of item you can have in perfect condition without needing to own the real thing and it will never need maintenance or get involved in an accident. Porsche to build 918 Spyder

Porsche today announced that it will build the 918 Spyder, a road legal version of the 718bhp hybrid sports car that made its debut at the Geneva motor show last year. The company says the hybrid sports car will be limited to just 918 examples and be offered in left-hand drive only in order to ensure exclusivity of the new model. Based on a carbon fiber-reinforced plastic monocoque, the 918 Spyder's design DNA is derived from the Carrera GT and Porsche 917 race car as well as the RS Spyder.

First Sight: Skoda Octavia

The new Skoda Octavia was unveiled earlier this week in the Czech brand's museum at its home in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. Car Design News was in attendance to check out the third generation of what the company calls ‘the heart of Skoda'. The new Octavia is the fourth model in the Volkswagen Group to be built on the new MQB (Modularer Querbaukasten) platform.
