I reduced the price... only to allow those who cannot pick item up locally, to have glass professionally packed and shipped by a licensed FedEx store, who will insure item against breakage. I now have a working relationship with a shipping outlet, who prides themselves in reasonable prices and prompt service, i will gladly take it to the pack/ship store and at that point will connect buyer with shipper. This Benetton-Ford B191 was due to go up for auction with Coys this Saturday 10 August at the Nurburgring, but the car has now been sold ahead of going under the hammer for just £195,000.
Ariel Atom 3.5R police car joins UK Constabulary
Thu, 05 Jun 2014We never pictured the Ariel Atom as a police car, but now that Ariel Motors has actually equipped one with all the appropriate police gear, it makes perfect sense. It's light, it's highly visible, it's relatively cheap to run on a daily basis and it's wickedly fast. Ariel Motors has teamed up with the Somerset Constabulary in the south of England to equip an Atom 3.5R, which features a 2.0-liter 350-hp engine from the Honda Civic Type R, with the necessary police gear.
New Jaguar XJR will see the end of the XJ SuperSport
Thu, 28 Mar 2013The launch of the new 2013 Jaguar XJR at the New York Auto Show this week heralds the end of the line for Jaguar’s other Supercharged V8 XJ – the SuperSport. With a much more fulsome 542bhp, some very ‘Jaguar’ go-faster bits, some proper fettling to make the steering, gearbox and suspension focus more on the drive without making a mess of the ride and altogether more dynamism in prospect than the SuperSport, we’d assumed Jaguar were making the XJR the performance pinnacle of the XJ range and leaving the SuperSport in place as the ‘luxury’ alternative. With that thought in mind we’d expected to see Jaguar push the price of the new XJR up towards the XJ Ultimate (which costs £121,000), so count us gobsmacked when Jaguar revealed the new XJR will cost from £92,335 – just £500 more than the SuperSport.
