Up for the offering is this RARE 16mm promotional Film titled - 62 Seahose Spectacular / Johnson Motors.
It appears to be in color (one can see colours on the opening tile lead - see close up pic of film. I do not have a machine to play it on - I can only verify the first part / opening of the film that it is by Johnson Motors. Appears to be in very good condition - there are a couple of cracks in the yellow leader - but the rest seems very good. After the yellow leader that is a lot of tape with the count down etc before the film starts, When the film starts, one can see the opening part is in colour. The reel is approx 10 1/2" in diameter - the inside of the tin indicates the reel could hold 800 ft. I could note find this film any where, so I do not have too much info on it. There might be a Postal Strike in Canada - if there is I can mail this from across the border (Niagara Falls NY), It might take a few days before I get a chance to go across the border, but not longer than a week Overseas shipping (Europe, Asia etc) will like cost around $100.00 - best not to buy. Canadian Buyers subject to HST depending upon which province it is shipped to. May bids to build Mecanno motorbike
Tue, 26 Nov 2013TOP GEAR star James May must be getting Meccano for Christmas because he is using the classic toy to build a motorbike and sidecar to race the Isle of Man TT circuit for a new show. The episode of his Toy Stories series, called The Motorcycle Diaries, sees May get to grips with a construction kit to try to build a vehicle capable of carrying him and co-star Oz Clarke around the 37-mile course. In previous episodes James May and his team have built a giant slot-car racing track, a full size Airfix replica of a Spitfire and a giant toy glider.
Toyota's incoming chairman wants new Supra
Thu, 13 Jun 2013Toyota Motor Corp.'s incoming chairman said he wants the sports car the company is developing with BMW to be a midsized vehicle comparable to the discontinued Supra. Toyota's next sports car should be like the Supra so that it doesn't overlap with the 86 coupe, Takeshi Uchiyamada said in an interview today in Osaka at a gathering of members of the Keidanren, Japan's biggest business lobbying group. Still, such decisions are up to engineers, Uchiyamada said.
