Rare Vintage Bargman L-77 1960 61 Travel Trailer Airstream Silver Streak Shasta on 2040-parts.com
Stockton, California, US
RARE, Vintage THEO BARGMAN travel trailer door handle, made in Detroit, Michigan. This is an L-77 A, used on several different types of travel trailers, during the 1960's, especially 1960, and 1961, and maybe 1962. This one is in good working condition, comes with a key. There is some light pitting over all the front of the exterior chrome, see pictures.
The handle part, that you pull to open the door, is a bronze reproduction of the original cast aluminum handle, which often breaks. So this is a stronger handle, than the original. This one has been painted (a few years ago) with some aluminum colored paint. It is now peeling off, see pictures.

However, designers are often required to describe or explain their designs - and the work of others - in words, and for this, they need a vocabulary. The vocabulary they use is one whose origins stretch back to another era and to different disciplines, and which, with the now multi-cultural nature of the profession and advances in computer technology, is still growing.

The effort will be focused on three primary areas: cutting vehicle weight, improving aerodynamics and reducing friction in the engine and transmission. Those three priorities already can be seen in the 2013 Altima, which went on sale in June with 20 percent better fuel economy than the outgoing model.

Following heady investment from its Russian investor and a passionate drive from its founder and Managing Director, Brendan O'Toole, the coachbuilding specialist has expanded rapidly over the past two years, acquiring brands and forming partnerships. The latest chapter in the ongoing development of the company aims to resurrect not only the Jensen brand, but also its most famous creation: the Interceptor. The new car, set to publicly unveiled in late 2012, has been penned by Coventry-based design consultancies and echoes the original built between 1966 and 1976.
