2013 VW Golf MK 7: Official
Tue, 04 Sep 2012Ahead of its public debut at the Paris Motor Show we have the first official photos of the 2013 Volkswagen Golf arrive. The new VW Golf – the MK 7 – was revealed today in Berlin and we’ve got the first official photos ahead of VW’s official release. Looking more sophisticated than the current Golf, the new Golf is underpinned by VW’s MQB Platform – which also underpins the new Audi A3 and SEAT Leon – and comes in at up to 100kg less than the current Golf.
2012 Audi A3 Debuts: Geneva 2012
Tue, 06 Mar 2012New Audi A3 arrives at Geneva The all new Audi A3 has debuted at Geneva as a 3 door looking just like the current A3 – but it’s completely new. The 2012 Audi A3 has arrived at Geneva 2012, and it looks like the VW Group is starting to learn from Porsche’s designers; the new A3 is a new car but, unless you look hard, it could be the old A3. Sitting on a longer wheelbase than the current A3, which promises more room inside, and a bit wider too, the new A3 gets Audi’s square-cornered frill with large air intakes and the now familiar Audi headlights with LED running lights.

Mon, 26 Oct 2009VW wants to buy Karmann Just like all the other specialist coachbuilders out there – Zagato, Pininfarina, etc – life has not been a bed of roses for a long time for Karmann. Once a great way for wealthy owners to ‘Customise’ their cars, the specialist coachbuilders have relied more and more on relationships with big car makers to survive. None more so than Karmann, whose hopes for survival rested on VW divvying up an order for electric cars.
