For sale is a brand new OEM mounting bracket for a Raymarine EV-1 Sensor Core for autopilot systems. Use this bracket to mount the sensor core to a horizontal surface, a vertical surface, or a mast pipe. The sensor core can be mounted in any orientation, as long as the arrow (with LED light) is pointing towards the front of the vessel.
Save yourself the trouble and worry associated with drilling holes big in your boat to mount the sensor core and run the spur cable. I wish I would have followed my own advice - I tried to flush-mount the sensor core and drilled my first holes in the wrong spots. Now have to try and patch them. Big mistake. Using this bracket to mount the sensor core to a mast pipe or flat surface will help you avoid my mistake. |

GM's Tom Peters on breaking Corvette design tradition [w/Video]
Fri, 04 Oct 2013GM design director of performance vehicles and full-size trucks Tom Peters has defended his decision to break from Corvette tradition by abandoning round rear lamps for the 2014 Stingray in an Autoweek video. The rear lamp design of the new model has been criticized as being "too Camaro" by some, to which Peters challenges them to park one alongside the other before he highlights just how different they are. Functionality also played a key role in the rear lamps' redesign, he explains, such as rear aerodynamic considerations, new LED technology previously unused in Corvette design, and depth of sculpture opportunities.

Hell, Competition Press was our original name. But as with any other old-media organization even cursorily concerned with relevance, we've made the leap into the digital world.
