Max Marine Electronics thanks you for your understanding and your business! Intellian:I3

We acquired this unit from a marine electronics company that went out of business. The control unit was not in the box. The unit appears to be in immaculate condition, we cannot say for sure whether it was installed or not because it's in the original box and box serial number matches the unit's and all of the cables are new, but the bottom foam gasket surface is not stark white as if it was brand new. It may have been some sort of showroom display, I'm really not sure. What I can say is the inside looks new, the outside looks great, all cables, manuals, and mounting bracket for control unit are new. The only thing not here is the control unit. I don't know where it went, I don't have it, and I don't know where to get one.

Sat TV equipment really isn't a specialty of ours, so we have not been able to perform any tests on this apart from a visual inspection. By the same token, I don't want someone to be stuck with this unit if for some reason it doesn't work. For that reason, we will offer an extended 30 day return policy from date of receipt. We will pay return shipping ONLY to customers in the Continental US. If you are outside the Continental US, you will be responsible for all return shipping, although we will still cover item price and original outbound shipping from us to you on all returns. No international shipping, the box is too big to go through USPS and we've been having a ton of issues on Fedex International.

I believe this shares many, if not all the same boards as the Intellian I3. The unit is clean, the serial number on the box matches the unit, and I will say that of the 3 other Sat TV domes from this company we've sold, I have not had 1 come back.

Thanks for looking, good luck bidding!

Andy Saunders sells 'Art Cars' collection

Tue, 04 Nov 2008

British 'car artist' Andy Saunders' 'Art Car' collection was sold by RM Auctions in London, UK on October 29, along with a selection of classic cars and a McLaren F1 that sold for £2.5 million - a new world record. Though lacking the quality of many Californian custom cars when seen close up, the Art Cars were fascinating to see, and unlike other custom car creators, Saunders has made almost all of the cars for himself; conceiving and creating the cars without any design process beyond thinking them through and getting his hands dirty in evenings after work.  Each of the cars introduced new themes not evident in their donor designs and, within the context of many salubrious but established classic car designs at the auction, they had a powerful quixotic appeal. So why is he selling them?
