Wed, 30 Oct 2013The most recent advance in vehicle safety has to be the autonomous emergency braking system (AEB) – a sophisticated suite of sensors and electronics that monitors objects in front of your car, automatically applying the brakes for you if it senses you’re heading to hit something. Up until now these auto-brake features have not been rated, but ahead of a new 2014 test that will include AEB systems in its overall safety star scoring, Euro NCAP has put the some of the vehicles already equipped with this technology through their paces. Its speculated output was 225 hp. Ferrari also pulled the covers off the latest 2+2 touring car, the 330 GT, the successor to the famed 250GT.

And Lamborghini are wasting no time whetting appetites for the Gallardo, with a new website launched to tease its replacement, complete with a ‘start’ button to hear the new V10 roar and instructions to “Listen to your instinct – Discover the roar of the new creature from Lamborghini”. That replacement is probably going to be called the Lamborghini Cabrera, which we’ve been expecting to debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
