Audi TT Ultra Quattro concept (2013) first official pictures

This is Audi’s idea of a TT in the GT3 RS or Superleggera mould: the TT Ultra Quattro concept. Thanks to a ruthless diet and an uprated 2.0-litre TFSI turbo petrol engine, the all-wheel drive TT Ultra will launch to 62mph in 4.2sec, (1.3sec faster than a regular Audi TTS) and hit 173mph flat out. Ford C-Max at 2009 Frankfurt motor show

Now called just the straightforward C-Max, having dropped the Focus part of its name, the new car will be shown at the 2009 Frankfurt motor show. However, there’s still quite a long wait until you can actually buy the new C-Max – it won’t roll into Blue Oval dealers until autumn 2010, when it will pitch into battle with the Renault Scenic and Vauxhall Zafira.

Hyundai Veloster Turbo gets 400bhp

Hyundai in the US has created a Veloster for this year’s SEMA show – the Hyundai Velocity – with a 400bhp Cosworth makeover. SEMA show cars are always extreme and always completely over the top, but they do show just what can be done with mainstream cars when car makers are let off the leash of marketing constraints. This year Hyundai is out playing, and as well as creating a Genesis Coupe with Cosworth power they’ve also taken the new Hyundai Veloster Turbo and created a 400bhp monster SEMA car.
